Most Mint teas are caffeine-free and herbal, but not this. Moroccan Mint tea is a minimally caffeinated version of mint tea. It’s very popular in some parts of the world, like Canada. The essential components of the Moroccan Mint tea blend are gunpowder green tea and dried mint.

Even though it’s not very difficult to make this tea, let’s see how to make Moroccan Mint tea perfectly.


  • Mint Green tea or Gunpowder Green tea
  • 5-7 fresh Mint leaves
  • 2 cups of Water
  • Sweetener (optional)


  • Boil 1 ½  cups of water in a saucepan or electric kettle.
  • Add Gunpowder Green tea or Mint Green tea to a teapot and pour the boiling water over it. Let it steep for 3 minutes. 
  • Remove the infuser with the tea and add the fresh Mint leaves. Then, let it sit for a couple of minutes.
  • After the leaves settle, then pour it into a cup from a height. (this will create froth on top)
